I had been looking at these boots forever, but was hesitant because of the cost. I got two pairs of shoes at a local store only to return them because they just didn't look or feel like quality. I don't buy new things often so when I do I like them to last and I like to get a couple years wear. I have another pair of Frye boots very similar to these that have held up so great but started to show signs of wear so I wanted to replace them with something that was classy and casual. Tried them on as soon as they arrived and let me say they are PERFECT. I'm a true 8.5 and they fit just right. I have small ankles which I think is a must for these shoes. Also, if your foot is very wide, I probably would not recommend these, they are fine for a normal to narrow foot, but could be difficult to zip for wider than average feet. I got the Dark Ash grey and it's a great color that I think will go with just about anything in my closet. As long as Frye keeps their commitment to quality leather, I'll keep going back. Love them!
